Plan your cumulative GPA
Enter your current cumulative GPA and the credit hours included in it. Add planned courses with explicit letter grades to see the new cumulative GPA and the term GPA required for a target.
Estimates use only the rules you enter. The example grade-point scale is a U.S. college 4.0 model, not any school’s official policy or a local grading system.

How the projection works
Previous quality points = existing GPA × existing GPA-bearing credits. Add the next term’s credit × grade-point products, then divide by old plus new GPA-bearing credits. The target check solves the same equation for the term GPA you would need.
Existing GPA 3.20 over 60 credits gives 192 quality points. A 15-credit term at 3.60 adds 54. New cumulative GPA = (192 + 54) ÷ 75 = 3.28. To reach 3.50 instead, the term would need (3.50 × 75 − 192) ÷ 15 = 4.70, above this sample scale’s maximum.
Use the semester GPA calculator to check planned grades, and course scenarios to decide which letters are realistic. This estimate does not implement institutional repeat replacement, transfer, extra-credit, withdrawal, or official transcript rules.
