Compare two course-grade scenarios
Add the categories from your syllabus. Mark each as graded, partly graded, not yet graded, or missing and counted as zero. Enter future scores for A and B to see how different outcomes change your predicted final percentage.
Estimates use only the rules you enter. The example grade-point scale is a U.S. college 4.0 model, not any school’s official policy or a local grading system.
Enter your rules

Weights must add to 100%. For a partly graded category, enter its current average and the percentage of that category still ungraded. Missing work recorded as zero stays separate.
Optional: use your syllabus letter-grade cutoffs
No percentage is converted to a letter unless you enable this and enter the course cutoffs. The defaults are blank.
What “current” and “predicted” mean
Current grade divides weighted points earned so far by the weights that have been graded or recorded as zero. Ungraded categories are excluded from that denominator. Predicted final grade uses all categories, including your scenario scores for ungraded work. Category weights must sum to 100%.
If a category has both graded and future work, choose “Partly graded.” Enter its current average and the percentage of that category still ungraded. For example, if half of the homework points remain, enter 50 as the future share. The planner weights the completed and future parts separately.
Homework is 40% at 90, a final is 60% and ungraded. Scenario A assumes 85 on the final: 40 × 0.90 + 60 × 0.85 = 87%. Scenario B assumes 70: 36 + 42 = 78%. Current grade is 36 ÷ 40 × 100 = 90%.
Only add letter-grade cutoffs when your syllabus states them. Then you can transfer an explicit scenario letter grade and credits into the semester GPA calculator. If your course uses total points, use the points-based tool. For one remaining exam, try final grade needed.
