What do you need on the final?
Use this quick calculator only when every non-final component is complete and your current grade summarizes that work. Enter the final’s share of the course and your target overall percentage.
Estimates use only the rules you enter. The example grade-point scale is a U.S. college 4.0 model, not any school’s official policy or a local grading system.

Assumes every non-final item is complete and the final is the only remaining item.
Formula and example
Required final score = (target overall percentage − current grade × non-final share) ÷ final share. The shares are proportions, so a 30% final has a share of 0.30.
Current work averages 86%, counts for 70%, and the target is 90%: (90 − 86 × 0.70) ÷ 0.30 = 99.333…%. You need at least 99.34% if scores are recorded to two decimals. GradeScenario shows the unrounded requirement first, then a display value.
A requirement over 100% is unattainable under these assumptions. A requirement at or below zero means the target is already secured even with zero on the final. If other assignments remain, model all remaining categories instead.
